Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems for the “Company” and it’s facilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Troubleshoots equipment, apparatus, and machinery as needed. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Detects malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with machine operators, work team leaders and plant manager to diagnose problem and repair machine.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Sets up and operates a variety of tools such as drills and grinders to repair machines and machine parts.
Maintain and operate a preventive maintenance program for all plant equipment including updates as needed by new equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Coordinate vendor or contractor work at the plant.
Ensure compliance with the quality system and applicable policy, procedure and practice.
Non-product repairs to facility (Sprinklers, billboards, store maintenance, customer’s offsite service calls)
Routine cleaning within facility
Safely perform scheduled and unscheduled equipment and building maintenance.
Ability to react quickly and multi-task.
Regular use of electrical and pneumatic knowledge.
Ability to read blue prints and wiring schematics.
Ability to weld and fabricate.
Experience with machine control trouble shooting (ie. PLC, PC, Servo, Temp, Honeywell).
Familiar with Maxon burners.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however it does require the coordination of workers to attain the daily, weekly scheduling and metric goals.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current driver license, chauffer’s license helpful. Current hi-lo license or ability to obtain. Familiarity with all types of building maintenance.
Computer & Technology Skills
Job requires intermediate knowledge of software applications and multiple operating systems.
Employee must have technical skills required to operate and maintain machinery.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
