I hope you’ll join us for worship this Sunday. Whether you’ve been with us for years, are visiting for the first time, or haven’t been in a while, you are welcome here. We’ll be glad to worship together.

As we continue our *Reminders* series, we’ll look at Mark 2:1–12. When a paralyzed man couldn’t get to Jesus on his own, his friends carried him there. The crowd made it difficult to reach Jesus, but they didn’t give up. They found another way, opened the roof, and lowered their friend down to him. Jesus saw their faith, and the man received healing.

That story reminds us that friendship is more than enjoying one another’s company. Sometimes being a good friend means showing up when it’s inconvenient, carrying someone through a difficult season, or helping them find their way toward hope. And when someone asks us to pray, even a simple, heartfelt prayer can be a way of carrying them to Jesus.

I hope Sunday’s message will encourage us to notice who needs our care and to be the kind of friends who keep showing up. Come as you are. There’s a place for you here, and I look forward to seeing you.

We would love to invite you to join us for worship this Sunday at Faith and Stony Ridge United Methodist Churches as we continue our series, “Reminders.” In a world that pulls us in so many directions and fills our minds with worry, hurry, and distractions, we all need reminders of God’s faithfulness, God’s grace, and the hope we have through Jesus Christ.

This Sunday, we will gather to sing, pray, open God’s Word, and be encouraged together. Worship is a chance to step away from the busyness of the week and remember that we are not alone. God meets us in every season of life—in our celebrations, our questions, our struggles, and our new beginnings. No matter where you have been or what kind of week you have had, you are welcome here.

Last Sunday was especially meaningful as we welcomed three new members into our church family: Linda Dyer, Carl Dyer, and Sandra Fraser. We are so thankful that they have chosen to make Faith and Stony Ridge part of their spiritual home. Their decision is a beautiful reminder that the church is more than a building or a Sunday morning gathering. The church is a family of people learning to follow Jesus, caring for one another, serving our communities, and growing together in faith.

We celebrate Linda, Carl, and Sandra, and we look forward to the ways God will continue to work through each of them. Please take a moment to welcome them, introduce yourself if you have not already, and let them know how glad we are that they are here. A warm smile, a handshake, and a kind word can make a tremendous difference.

If you have been thinking about coming back to church, visiting for the first time, or finding a place where you can grow in your relationship with Christ, we hope you will join us. Come as you are. Bring your family, invite a neighbor, or bring a friend who could use a little encouragement. There is room for you at Faith and Stony Ridge.

Join us this Sunday as we worship God with grateful hearts, celebrate the gift of Christian community, and remember once again that God is still at work in our lives and in our churches.
