STATEMENT OF FAITH
What We Believe
The Bible is God's Word and the only sufficient, certain, and infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith and obedience. Jesus our Sovereign Lord is to whom we are accountable and the Word of God, is our final authority in all matters. In this divine and infinite God there are three persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Son of God, Jesus, was conceiv
ed by the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Mary. As both God and man, Jesus was punished for our sins. He was crucified on a cross, and died. On the third day He rose from the dead and later ascended into Heaven. The Holy Spirit empowers believers in Jesus to produce good works and to exercise their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is essential for salvation from sin and from eternal punishment. Salvation is not by works, but by grace through faith alone. The church is made up of those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ. Believers are called to walk together in local assemblies. This fellowship in a local church is for encouragement. The souls of righteous men upon death, immediately return to God Who gave them. The souls of the righteous are received into heaven where they are with Christ. The souls of the wicked are cast into Hell, reserved for judgment. Marriage is ordained by God for the mutual help and joy of husband and wife and for the increase of mankind. Marriage that is blessed by God is between one man and one woman. Mankind was created by a direct act of God and in His image. All human life is to be highly valued, protected and preserved from conception throughout the entire natural human life.
