For too long, too many pastors have been silent.
We surrendered the public square. We avoided controversial issues. We convinced ourselves that courage meant staying behind a pulpit and never confronting what was happening outside the walls of our churches.
And when biblical pastors refuse to speak, someone else will gladly grab the microphone.
Enough.
The Church cannot remain silent while provocateurs attempt to hijack our faith and speak in our name.
We need bold pastors again. Pastors willing to stand in the public square. Pastors willing to contend for the faith. Pastors willing to call sin, sin. Pastors willing to confront evil without becoming evil. Pastors willing to preach Jesus Christ without apology and without wrapping the cross in racial hatred.
Silence has surrendered too much ground already.
At the same time, the danger of radical Islam is real, and pretending otherwise is cowardice.
Islam is not merely a private religion of personal piety. Its foundational texts and historical practice present it as a comprehensive political, legal, and military system that seeks submission (the literal meaning of “Islam”) under Sharia. It has a clear doctrine of expansion, dominion, and treatment of those who refuse to convert or submit.
The Quran itself is unambiguous on this point:
Quran 9:5
“And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”
Quran 9:29
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.”
Quran 8:39
“And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah…”
Quran 4:89
“They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.”
These are not fringe interpretations invented by critics. They are the words of the text that orthodox Islamic tradition has historically applied to non-Muslims, apostates, and those resisting Islamic rule. The pattern of jihad, dhimmitude, and the demand for supremacy is not a modern invention, it is rooted in the sources.
Concern about demographic transformation, parallel legal systems, no-go zones, honor violence, and the open declaration by some imams and activists that they intend to implement Sharia in the West is therefore not “Islamophobia.”
It is pattern recognition.
A free Christian people have every right, and duty, to resist the political advance of an ideology that, by its own scriptures, does not grant equal standing to those who reject Muhammad.
But hear me clearly. Our response must be Christian, not carnal.
We do not answer racial hatred with more racial hatred. We do not answer blasphemy with racial slurs. We do not answer a political-religious ideology that seeks dominion by descending into the same spirit of ethnic supremacy.
Christ is King.
Not the white race. Not any race. Not a political movement. Not a personality.
Jesus Christ alone is King.
The gospel levels every man at the foot of the cross and then raises every repentant sinner equally in Him.
So I say this as a pastor:
Refuse to baptize bigotry as Christian courage.
And at the same time, refuse the soft lie that Islam is simply another “faith tradition” with no political or civilizational ambitions. The texts and the history say otherwise.
The answer is not cowardice. The answer is not racism. The answer is not silence.
The answer is a bold Church.
A Church that stands in the public square. A Church that refuses to surrender biblical truth. A Church that loves people enough to tell them the truth. A Church that refuses to let provocateurs speak for Jesus Christ. A Church that contends for the faith without becoming consumed by hatred.
Pastors, get out from behind the safety of your pulpits and contend for the faith in the public square.
If we refuse to speak, others will continue speaking for us.
I refuse to surrender the voice of biblical Christianity to racial provocateurs, radical ideologies, or a culture demanding that Christians remain silent.
Stand for truth. Stand for the gospel. Stand in the public square. Contend for the faith!
