With the current reforms affecting religious recognition within the military, including the removal of specific recognition for our faith traditions, Wolf Mountain Kindred wants all those of Norse, Ásatrú, and other Scandinavian or Germanic based faiths to know that we see you, and we hear you.

During this time of uncertainty and setback, you are not alone. We understand the frustration, disappointment, and concerns many are experiencing, particularly regarding the impact these changes may have on religious accommodations and exemption requests.
Wolf Mountain Kindred is actively working to expand outreach efforts and provide resources, guidance, and support for those affected by these decisions. If you are seeking community, have questions about how these changes may impact you, or simply need someone to stand alongside you, we encourage you to reach out.

It is unfortunate to witness what many perceive as backward momentum regarding religious representation and accommodation, especially within our armed forces. However, we remain committed to addressing these challenges professionally, respectfully, and with unity of purpose. We are now opening a new order window for this year's T-Shirt!

The order window will be open until June 22nd... the shirts will not be made until the order window closes.

Along with shirts we are adding a double-sided all-weather flag, and sticker to the shop on our website. The flag and sticker are going to be on there permanently and are made and shipped when you order them.

WMK NY at it again today!

We showed up today with only one thing known by all attending, we were going to clean up the forest for a while, then we were going to do.... something, but most didn't know what that something was.

We cleaned up a good bit, then we awarded three of our most active and dedicated members with new bronze arm rings! Garrett Costain Alyssa Costain and William Flannery! This has significance due to our new policy on arm rings... these three have contributed time, blood, sweat, money, and much more to our Kindred. Always bringing food, firewood, and good vibes to our events! It is well earned for sure.

Following the awarding of the arm rings, Garrett and Alyssa both took the Varg's Oath!!

So congratulations to those three on their new EARNED arm rings, and to Garrett and Alyssa for taking their oath!

Attention Everyone!

We will be having our annual Midsummer Gathering the weekend of July 25th! It's looking like at least 30 people will be showing up from all over the country, and we think we can bring that number up!! Over half of the leadership team will be there, including our Jarl!

We will have Aurochs Wrestling, Tug of War competition for kids and adults, Maypole raising and dancing, Kubb, Hnefatafl, Tafl, smoked meats and much more!

It will be held at Southwick Beach State Park on Lake Ontario in NY! While this is a Norse celebration, all are welcomed to attend and see what we are about.

Meet us at Jefferson County Forest at Felts Mills to clean up the Forest and strengthen our relationship with the land we blot on.

This volunteer event will last about three hours, followed by something we have planned for our dedicated members!

We will have lunch prior to beginning the volunteer work, otherwise the food will be there to pick at throughout.

Bring gloves, water, and bug spray if you have it. We will have tick repellant spray as well.

Come out to clean up our regular blot site! Followed by a little something for our members!

Wolf Mountain Kindred NY held Sigrblot yesterday, May 10th, at Jefferson County Forest! While the blot itself had to be postponed a week, we still had our families show up and participate.

It was worth noting the importance of this blot, and that once again, there is reason to have concern about our men and women in the service. While most of us here in NY are active duty and veterans, and understand Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors all singed up to do the job they are asked to do... we also understand the hardships and risks. Sigrblot, or the Victory Sacrifice, is about ensuring not only that they make it home... but asking favor from the powers for a swift and violent victory against our enemies, and that is exactly what we asked for.

Also worth noting is we had two of Wolf Mountain Kindred's members take the new Varg's Oath! This oath is required by anyone who has recieved, and who will be awarded an arm ring from the Kindred. While these two individuals (Hallie Sample and William Flannery) did not oath TO the Kindred, they oathed to the values, ideals, morals, and teachings of the Kindred! So congratulations to Hallie Jayne Sample and William Flannery!

Our next blot here in NY will be Einherjar Blot in observance of Memorial Day. We hope to see you there, but if not... we look forward to seeing people from all over the country travel here for our annual Midsummer Gathering!!!

Good Yule from us here at Wolf Mountain Kindred to you all! These are images from WMK's NY chapter, out there doing their blot in -5 real feel temps, honoring the gods and ancestors.

Halfway through the blot, unbeknownst to all attending, the home lost power, so they feasted under candle light the rest of the night!
