That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. 1 John 1:1-4

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

As A Man Thinketh - Wayne McKamie

We invite you to enjoy this classic sermon from Evangelist Wayne McKamie, which calls listeners to take seriously the truth of Proverbs 23:7—“as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Brother McKamie traces how every action is first conceived in the mind, warning that evil deeds are “cradled” in evil thoughts and that God’s judgment reaches beyond outward behavior to the hidden intentions of the heart (Matthew 15:19).

He challenges the common excuse that we have no control over our thinking, pointing instead to Scripture’s call for the unrighteous to forsake not only wicked ways but wicked thoughts (Isaiah 55:7–11), and reminding us that God’s ways and thoughts stand infinitely higher than our own.

How much of today's worship is determined by what will draw the most visitors? Does it matter that the visitors are well pleased by the worship style and selection? Certainly, we might wish that they were pleased by it, but does this really matter? Does this have any part of how worship is to be measured according to God? If we would question whether or not God is well pleased by our worship and confirm this by going to His divine revelation in holy scripture, then we will be on point. Worship is about God, for God. Ask: Is it God centered (Col. 3:23-24); is it God pleasing according to His word (Eph. 5:17); is it from the heart (Ps. 47:7; Eph. 5:19)?
