Congratulations Pastor Travis! Incredible days ahead!

This past Sunday our Pastor Search Committee shared they are nominating Travis Bailey as our new Senior Pastor! We are so excited for this news and hope you will join us in praying for the Bailey family and our church! There will be a Q&A at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 13th and Travis will preach in view of a call on Sunday, June 14th. Church members can vote either at the Q&A or after service on Sunday.

We’re excited to share important news about the future leadership of the Lubbock Area Baptist Association. After months of prayer and discernment, the LABA Director of Missions Search Committee will be recommending Dr. Craig Curry as our candidate for Director of Missions. Dr. Curry will join us at our Quarterly Meeting on Sunday, January 4 at 4:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, where the association will be asked to vote. Thank you for joining us in prayer this week for our Churches Praying for Churches initiative. Your prayers make a difference. Together, we’ve lifted up Luz en la Comunidad in Lubbock, First Nations Fellowship in Lander, Wyoming, and First Baptist Church in Wilson, Texas. May God continue to bless their pastors, encourage their people, and multiply their ministries for His glory. When churches pray for churches, heaven takes notice—and God moves in powerful ways.

The LABA Annual Meeting is this Sunday, October 12th at 4 PM at Bacon Heights Baptist Church, 5110 54th Street, Lubbock. It will be a meaningful time of worship, fellowship, and giving thanks as we celebrate God’s goodness together. Please note: dinner tickets will NOT be available for purchase at the door.
