Know the facts and what kind of love are we promoting.

There are 4 types of love mentioned in the Biblical times. These original greek words, unfortunately, lost their distinctions in the English translation and were only represented by one word that is "love."

So let me share them with you.

1. STORGE. The love between parents and children or Parental Love.

2. PHILIA. The love between siblings or Brotherly Love.

3. EROS. The romantic love between couples or Erotic Love.

4. AGAPE. The love that forgives, merciful, does not resist an evil person but gives grace. Sacrifices. More examples below...

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV
[4] Love(AGAPE) is patient, love(AGAPE) is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love(AGAPE) does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. [8] Love(AGAPE) never fails.

Matthew 5:44 NIV
[44] But I tell you, love(AGAPE) your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

John 3:16 NIV
[16] For God so loved(AGAPE) the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 13:34-35 NIV
[34] “A new command I give you: Love(AGAPE) one another. As I have loved(AGAPE) you, so you must love(AGAPE) one another. [35] By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love(AGAPE) one another.”

2 John 1:6 NIV
[6] And this is love(AGAPE): that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love(AGAPE).
--------------

Therefore, as obedient followers of Christ, let us show to the world the AGAPE of GOD.

Bible Reading Today:

Ephesians 5:1-20 NIV

[1] Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children
[2] and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
[3] But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
[4] Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
[5] For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
[6] Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
[7] Therefore do not be partners with them.
[8] For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
[9] (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
[10] and find out what pleases the Lord.
[11] Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
[12] It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
[13] But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
[14] This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
[15] Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,
[16] making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
[17] Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
[18] Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, [19] speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
[20] always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

All — Tentative Service Plan for Sunday, 01/25/26

Due to the forecasted severe winter weather this coming Sunday (01/25/26), we are preparing for all possibilities.

If weather, road conditions, and power availability permit, we will continue with our in-person service at the Center as scheduled.
However, if conditions become unsafe or power outages occur, we will transition to a live Zoom service at the same time, 4:00 PM Central Time.

Your safety is our priority. Please stay tuned for updates as we monitor the situation closely.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility!
