We had 1️⃣2️⃣4️⃣, and you could feel the excitement building from the moment kids walked through the door. Day two of Illumination Station was all about another piece of the puzzle of who Jesus really is, and this time we centered everything around that question Jesus himself asked, “Who do you say that I am?”

We went through the story of Jesus’s baptism and talked about what it means that He is God’s perfect Son, completely without sin, completely trustworthy, completely the Savior we need. Watching the kids sit with that question in their own words was something special. Some answers were simple and some were surprisingly deep, but every single one mattered.
💡
There was laughter, there was learning, and yes, there were more amazing snacks, and fun fun games, and even some remote control cars made from scratch. Mostly though there was a room full of kids getting a little closer to understanding who Jesus is and why that matters for their own lives.

We had 1️⃣0️⃣5️⃣‼️Today was one of those days where you look up and wonder where the time went. We had such an incredible time together as we dug into our lesson, “Jesus is God’s Promised Son.” The kids dove headfirst into our Spotlight Question, “Who is Jesus?” We talked about how He is the Messiah, the promised Son of God, and explored John 8:12 where Jesus himself says “I am the light of the world.”

We also got to hear about what people are doing around the world to share God’s love through missions, and it was so inspiring. The games had everyone laughing, and those snacks with caramel and cinnamon?!! 10 out of 10. Absolutely delicious. 😋

We wrapped things up discovering how light illuminates and reveals, and how that reflects the hope Jesus brings into our lives. It was a powerful moment. We cannot wait to see everyone back again tomorrow!

VBS is almost here & we still have some work to do & would love your help. Whether you can make it this morning, this afternoon, or this evening, there is a spot for you.

This morning & afternoon we will be tackling 4 projects:
•hanging streamers in the hallways,
•working on the stackable cubes,
•putting the finishing touches on our giant flashlight, &
•decorating the outside of Pastor David’s office. And if evenings work better for you, the Zunigas are heading up decorating again this year & will have plenty more for us to dig into together.

Every little bit matters. It is all for God’s glory and to bless every child and family He is sending our way next week. We are so excited to work alongside you to share the love of Jesus with our community. If you haven’t had a chance to serve, come by any time today & come lend a helping hand.
