The house the three of us kids lived in for our formative years burned down, but the memories remain. Daddy took this picture of the three of us. My brother Tom was 2, my sister Joy was 10, and I was 3 and all three of us were blessed by great parents.

One of my favorite Gilda Radner characters was Emily Litella. This is what some say about her online:

Emily Litella is a fictional character created and performed by comedian Gilda Radner in a series of appearances on Saturday Night Live. She is best known as one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live, where she won an Emmy Award for her work in 1978. is best known as one of the original cast members of SNL, where she won an Emmy Award for her work in 1978. Some have even called her a genius. I wrote this in her honor:

Emily Litella (E): I heard someone being disrespectful of someone the other day
Reporter (R): That's terrible. What did they say?
E; They said he's a Nitting Yahoo!
R: Are you sure they didn't say Benjamin Netanyahu?
E: Calling someone named Benjamin a Yahoo sounds just as bad to me.
R: Benjamin Netanyahu is the prime minister of Israel.
E: That's great. I like our preacher. He's pretty good, but not a prime minister, so never mind.

If anyone knows anyone at SNL, please share this with them. I pinky finger promise any proceeds will go into an education fund for my granddaughter and the kids in my ministry.

I made a drink in a blender today with red cherries as one of the ingredients. I included the pits. A short time later, I threw up. Here is the reason I found on Google:

"Cherry pits contain amygdalin, a chemical that the body converts into hydrogen cyanide, a dangerous toxin. While accidentally swallowing an intact cherry pit is unlikely to cause harm, eating more than 20–30 pits can lead to cyanide toxicity. Chewing or crushing the pits before swallowing is more dangerous because it releases the cyanide."

Don't be dumb and kill yourself like I almost did.

I found this at ncbi.nlm.nih.gov tonight, the national library of medicine.

"The cellular biology of brains is relatively well-understood, but neuroscientists have not yet generated a theory explaining how brains work. Explanations of how neurons collectively operate to produce what brains can do are tentative and incomplete."

It would seem we have a lot to learn about the thing we use to learn.

They use styrofoam cups for coffee during Sunday school so I bring my own glass cup that was given to me by the mother of some of the kids in my ministry.

I was in the ER a while back. It turned out to be a false alarm, but when the ER doctor told me my doctor wanted to stay overnight I told him it was ok as long as they had my bleeding heart liberal channel on tv (msnbc). I couldn't find it but I'm still one of those people. But it isn't easy for anyone who calls Jesus their Lord. He liberated me from myself and called on me to do the same. That's hard because He says I must give all I have and follow Him. It's easy to be liberal with other people's stuff but not mine. Does anyone want to take a swing at being that kind of liberal? Try it. I'm far from being there. The Lord promises treasures beyond imagination in Matthew 19:21 if we do:

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." {NIV]
