Yesterday we closed out our series, “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus,” with a message called “No Turning Back.”

1. Following Jesus means staying when the truth gets hard.
2. What you tolerate today can destroy you tomorrow.
3. When you know who Jesus is, there is nowhere else to go.

Many of the disciples walked away when following Jesus became difficult, but Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

We cannot keep playing with the things God has called us to leave behind. We cannot keep going back to what Jesus delivered us from. Following Him will cost us something, but going back will cost us even more.

We have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and we are believing God has something for us.

Following Jesus has never been about fitting in. There will be moments when the culture is pulling one way, people around you are going another, and you have to decide who you’re going to follow.

Sometimes following Jesus will cost you comfort.
Sometimes it will cost you approval.
Sometimes it means standing when everyone else is bowing.

But He is worth it.

Come ready. Come expecting. And bring somebody with you.
