The Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas A faith community of hope... The Diocese of Northwest Texas is comprised of eighty counties covering 77,000 square miles.

Northwest Texas became a missionary district in 1911 when the Missionary District of Northern Texas split into two regions: the Diocese of Dallas and the Missionary District of North Texas by action of the General Convention and petitioned the General Convention to become a diocese in 1958. The diocese is the home of 32 parishes, missions and congregations, and five schools.

This weekly call hosted by Migration Ministries will include a special 50-minute segment in observance of World Refugee Day on June 20 The Rev. Daniel Karanja, lead for Anglican Communion partnerships, will moderate a panel featuring Martha Jarvis, Anglican Communion permanent representative to the United Nations; Archbishop Maimbo William Mndolwa of Tanzania, who also serves as the Anglican representative to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Multi-Religious Council of Leaders; and Bishop Francis Omondi of the Anglican Diocese of Garissa in Kenya, home to Dadaab Refugee Camp, one of the largest refugee camps in the world. Spanish interpretation is available.

The keynote presenter will be the Rt. Rev. Cathleen Chittenden Bascom, founder of the Episcopal Grasslands Network.
