After loading up and enjoying a little sight seeing on the way to the airport, team RIO has loaded their flight in Brasil. They are scheduled to land in Houston around 5:35 am.

The last two days have included a lot of hard work for our Brazil mission team.

Thursday post!!

On Thursday, our whole group stayed with VBS for the entire morning. We got to have lots of free time with the kids at the playground where we played tag, basketball, and got to talk and laugh with the kids. After the playground, we went back to the church and had a typically VBS day — in which we went through all the room rotations (craft, game, scripture memorizing game). We then enjoyed lunch with all the kids. For the last activity of the day with VBS, we watched Finding Dory (the kids loved it!)

For the evening, we got to go hang out with the middle school and high school students. We all played in a basketball tournament together, enjoyed some pizza, and got to make bracelets. At the end of the night, we had the opportunity to worship and share a devotional with one another.

As we wrap up this week, we want to make sure to let you all know that everyone made it home safely :) Furthermore, we are all so very grateful for the opportunity we had to to go on this trip to Impact Houston this year, and we cannot wait to return next year and keep nurturing the relationships that we developed this week!! Thank you all for all of the prayers and support throughout this week — we are blessed to have a congregation that supports us in doing such an impactful trip.
