St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church St. Stephen’s is a vibrant, healthy, growing church with a strong appreciation of its history. The intergenerationality of St.

Our services, Eucharistically centered, liturgically sound, and complemented by an excellent music program, have a strong family-oriented sense of community. Stephen’s is vigorously committed and dedicated to living out the Gospel. Parishioners come from diverse doctrinal backgrounds. We are a residential parish located in a university town in an economically stable community. We welcome all worshippers, and we strive to do so without prejudice.

It’s nearly Friday! In order to help get you there, how about another helping of last Sunday’s visit by the Flatland Low Brass Choir? They restrained themselves admirably during the service…but for the postlude, they had to cut loose!

Jesus, the very thought of thee
with sweetness fills the breast;
but sweeter far thy face to see,
and in thy presence rest.

O hope of every contrite heart,
O joy of all the meek,
to those who fall, how kind thou art!
How good to those who seek!

But what to those who find? Ah, this
nor tongue nor pen can show;
the love of Jesus, what it is,
none but his loved ones know.

Jesus, our only joy be thou,
as thou our prize wilt be;
Jesus, be thou our glory now,
and through eternity.

Bernard of Clairvaux, Monastic and Theologian, 1153 (Feast Day: August 20)

MINISTRY MONDAY:

EYC stands for Episcopal Youth Community, and *community* is exactly what they are about. This is the place for our 6th through 12th graders to serve, grow, learn, get to know each other, get to know the church, and get to know Jesus. The fact that they always seem to be having a blast just goes along with it!

Reach out to Deacon Debbie or Chris Ferguson to get your 6th-12th grader connected.
