LakeRidge Baptist is a church that just feels like home! Our church has been a fixture in the LakeRidge area of Lubbock since the mid-70s. Before the LakeRidge community existed, we started meeting in this area as Southwest Baptist Church. h in the 1970s as a church plant of Central Baptist Church in downtown Lubbock. The foresight to purchase ten acres on 82nd Street laid the foundation for LakeRidge Baptist to become the church it is now. A small building served the congregation until the first permanent facility was built. That early structure, sitting alone in the cotton field, was called the “Little House on the Prairie” by many. Over the years, LRBC has added multiple extensions to become the full campus that exists today. ft. “Little House on the Prairie” has grown into a 10 acre, 35,000 square foot complex housing our sanctuary, offices, kitchen, gym, student center, and children’s wing, with a large storage facility and 2 baseball fields. To God be the glory! We exist to worship God, make disciples, and live on mission. Our ministry reflects our purpose. We program our schedule so that Sunday morning is when we fulfill our purpose for worship, Sunday night is for discipleship, Wednesday (and through the week) is for living out our mission. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus to all people, that they may know Him, and grow to become like Him. Our vision is be a family of devoted followers of Jesus Christ, united to help those who are far from God become flourishing disciples of Jesus on the west plains of Texas and around the world. At LakeRidge, life is better together. We believe God created us to live in community. Sunday services are powerful, but real growth often happens in circles, not just rows. Community groups are where faith gets personal — where you can be known, encouraged, and challenged to grow. We can’t wait to meet you!
