Since our State Rep (Dustin Burrows) has STILL not returned my phone call from last March, I thought it was time for a more personal approach. So, this morning I took my sign with me and quietly stood out in front of his office on the sidewalk near 105th and Quaker. This was the first time I have ever been over on that side of town, so I wasn't quite sure what kind of response I would get. Well, I am here to report that the people in south Lubbock aren't any different than the people over on the west side of town. The first guy who stopped got out of his truck and immediately came walking over to me. He stuck out his hand, shook my hand and thanked me for what I was doing. A few minutes later another vehicle pulled up behind me and a gal rolled down her window and proceeded to inform me that she had just called the police. She said that she was the owner of the office buildings on that block, and I that I needed to leave immediately! When I told her I would be glad to talk to the police, she rolled up her window and left. Then a couple of minutes after that a teacher pulled up and asked me what I was doing. When I told her why I was there, she began telling me how I didn't have the right to talk about the issue of homosexuality in our public schools unless I have children in school. She also told me that she already knew who I was and that I was the reason why so many students in our country are committing su***de! Let me stop at this point and tell y'all reading this exactly what I said to her. It is a terrible tragedy when anyone makes a decision to end his or her life. But believe it or not, it is not Steve Miller's fault. I don't have that kind of control over anyone out there that would cause them to take their own life. But there is someone who does, and his name is SATAN! He is literally the MASTER of using and confusing people to further his agenda of damning lost souls to hell. And when he is through with his using and abusing, he will drop them like a hot potato! That is why these people need to hear the truth about their sin and the eternal consequences that are directly connected with it. Because until they are convinced that they have the disease, they will never understand their desperate need for the cure!!! "And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself." (Matthew 27:5)
