Ever been invited to something that changed your life? In our new series "Cycology 101," we explore powerful lessons learned through cycling that point us back to eternal truths.

It started with a simple question: "Do you want to ride?" That invitation led to an 18-year journey. Just like James invited our pastor to experience cycling, Jesus extends an even greater invitation: "Come, follow me." (John 1:43)

Philip didn't wait long after meeting Jesus before inviting Nathanael: "Come and see" (John 1:46). When was the last time you invited someone to experience Jesus? Maybe they'll say no. Maybe they'll say yes. But we keep asking because we believe Jesus is worth it.

Who is God bringing to your mind today? Don't let the first "no" be the final answer. Extend the invitation. Make it easy. Say "come and sit with me." Your invitation could change someone's eternity.

The sermon explored the ultimate purpose behind transforming our thinking—living with the mind of Christ. While we've spent weeks in the trenches battling negative thoughts and replacing them with healthy ones, Romans 12:2 reminds us that renewing our minds has a greater goal: "so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." Through being battle-tested in our thought life, we gain wisdom, understanding, and discernment. Though obtaining the mind of Christ may feel overwhelming, we can pursue it intentionally through four practical portraits that reflect how Jesus lived and how He calls us to live.

Love God. Make it personal. Pass it on.

This Mother's Day, we explored the Shema - the most important passage in Hebrew Scripture about faith and family. The message is clear: parents, you are God's Plan A for raising spiritually healthy kids.

Find the rhythms in your life - mealtime, drive time, bedtime - and maximize them. Use those moments to talk about God, to pray, to share what matters most. Your kids need to see your authentic love for God, not just hear about it.

The church isn't meant to replace you as the primary faith trainer - we're here to walk alongside you, equip you, and cheer you on. From Deuteronomy 6: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. Repeat them to your children...when you sit, when you walk, when you lie down, when you get up."

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

What does it mean to have the mind of Christ? It's not just about changing our negative thoughts—it's about transformation at the deepest level.

This week we zoomed out to see the bigger picture. Romans 12:2 calls us to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." When we win the battle in our minds, we gain wisdom, understanding, and discernment for God's will.

Four portraits of living with Christ's mind: Be a FAITHFUL FOLLOWER—"Because you say so, I will" (Luke 5:5). Be an INTENTIONAL LEARNER—never stop growing. Be a LOVING SERVANT—pour yourself out as Christ did. Be a COURAGEOUS MESSENGER—share the good news that Jesus is King and has come to rescue us.

The mission is clear: Follow Jesus. Where He goes, we go. This is how transformation happens—one faithful step at a time.

This week's sermon addressed how we can actually change our thinking patterns to transform our lives. We explored the challenging but winnable battle of replacing destructive thoughts with God-honoring ones. The message reminded us that while we must prepare ourselves for this battle through intentional action, ultimate victory comes from the Lord. By conducting input and internal audits, categorizing our thoughts, and strategically replacing negative patterns with biblical truth, we can experience what science calls "neuroplasticity"—the rewiring of our brains to think differently. This isn't easy work, and it won't happen overnight, but through consistency and God's power, transformation is possible.
