We’re excited to celebrate a special transition in our youth ministry! 🙌

After faithfully leading our Senior High and Middle School ministry for the past 2 years, Ken Hogue is passing the baton to our new Senior High Youth Leader, Nick Phillips! 🏃‍♂️🔥

We are so thankful for Ken’s leadership, investment, and heart for our students. And we’re excited to see all that God is going to do through Nick in this next season!

Ken will continue serving and leading our Middle School ministry, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have him continuing to pour into the next generation. ❤️

Come celebrate the kickoff of Mercy Night this Wednesday at 7 PM! We’ll see you there! 🔥

NO IDLE WORDS.

Jesus takes our words seriously.

In Matthew 12:36, Jesus says that we will give an account for every idle word we speak.

The Greek word Jesus uses for “idle” is argos.

It carries the idea of:

• barren
• inactive
• unemployed
• useless
• lazy
• unproductive

So this week, we’re putting it to the test.

NO IDLE WORDS.

Before you speak, pause.
Before you react, pause.
Before you complain, pause.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Let’s be intentional with what comes out of our mouths and choose words that are full of life, truth, grace, and purpose.

Mercy House Church, this is our challenge this week: NO IDLE WORDS.
