Why am I looking forward to VBS this year?

1. I am excited about all the volunteer help that we have (over 65 volunteers)! We could not have a successful VBS without all our volunteers. It truly is life-giving to serve together.

2. I love connecting with kids and their parents. Parents play the biggest human role in the faith formation of their child, and we just love the trust parents give to us to partner with them.

3. I love the Gospel, which is always our central focus at VBS. The Gospel is more than a message, it is a life changing message. It impacts the way we live! It is a message we have been entrusted to share with others. THAT IS EXCITING!

4. I love that we get to model the Gospel for these kids. In fact, even though we will teach the Gospel clearly, what kids will remember the most is how they were treated, listened to, cared for, and responded to. We get to make lasting memories with the kids who come. Those memories will hopefully go beyond the cool game we played, but extend to how safe and loved they felt.

Our VBS starts Sunday, June 23rd, from 6:15pm-8:30pm and will happen every night at the same time through Wednesday June 26th. If you want specifics on teaching and registration details, visit our website...

We invite you to join us for our Kingdom Seekers VBS on June 23 and running through June 26.  Throughout the week kids will learn what it means to seek God's Kingdom and His righteousness.

If you are looking for fun opportunities for your child or grandchild to participate in over the summer, First Baptist Church of Lowell is having their VBS in the evenings starting June 23rd-26th. It starts at 6:15pm and goes until 8:30pm each night. We have over 50 volunteers ready to make sure your kids have a great time as they learn more about Jesus. On our registration page, I have laid out exactly what we are doing and teaching. We want to give kids a fun and exciting experience, as well as learning a thing or two. I wanted to get out the information for our (First Baptist Church of Lowell) Vacation Bible School coming up in June. This has been such an exciting program for many years. We have a PreK program and a k-6 program. The VBS will be in the evening from 6:15pm-8:30pm starting on Sunday, June 23 and ending Wednesday, June 26. We will have an opening with music, puppets, and more exciting elements. We will have a teaching time, craft time, game time, and small group/snack time as well. Inviting single moms to have a meal and connect with one another on Thursday, November 9th. Just show up anytime between 6pm and 8pm and we will serve you. It is a great opportunity to connect with other moms. A couple of things to note. We will be having a rep. from Flat River Outreach Ministries talk about what resources they offer at 6:30pm that evening. Also, we are providing kid friendly meal options as well as childcare while you are there.

If your family is not doing something on Saturday, feel free to join us for our annual Fall Into FUN Festival (formerly Trunk-n-treat) at First Baptist in Lowell. We will have many games for the kids, inflatables, popcorn, coffee, apple cider, and lots of candy. Right now our plan is to be outdoors, but if it rains, we will set up the festival in our gym, so we will not be canceling it rain or shine. The event happens October 28th from 1pm-3pm. We would love to meet you and facilitate an event for the whole community. Feel free to share!

I wanted to put it out there again since we are starting our meal for single moms and their family this week. On Thursday (October 12), First Baptist Church of Lowell (2275 W. Main St) will be putting a meal together for single moms and their family. We will be having a taco bar as well as a couple of other kid friendly options. You can come anytime between 6pm-8pm to grab a meal. We just want to do this small act of love for these moms, recognizing it is a tough spot to be in. While signing up for the meal is not necessary, we do want to try to get an idea of how many people to prepare for. If you are willing, please use the link to sign up or just message me with a number of people coming. We will be hosting a meal on the second Thursday of every month.

First Baptist Church will be hosting a taco bar for single mom's and their family on Thursday Oct. 12th. We will have some other kid friendly options as well. If you are a single mom, bring your family and come join us for a meal. You can drop in anytime between 6-8pm. You will enter through the main doors on the north side of the building. Hey single moms, we would love to give you a break on October 12. First Baptist Church will be preparing and serving a meal to single moms and their kids. You can show up anytime between 6pm and 8pm to enjoy a meal together. Our desire is to be a friend and give you at break at least one night out of the month. We plan on preparing a meal for single moms every second Thursday of the month. We see it as loving our neighbor. Our first meal on October 12 is a taco bar with a few other kid friendly options. We are asking moms to signup though the following link so we can know approximately how many people to prepare for and if there are any allergies we can accommodate for. Hello Lowell, First Baptist Church in Lowell is inviting single moms and their kids to come have a meal on the second Thursday of every month. Our first meal will be October 12. Come take a break and join us around the table. You will be able to come anytime between 6pm and 8pm to have a meal. We are keeping the menu simple and will always have a few kid friendly options.
