I’ll be taking time away from RBC for some time to focus on my health. I apologize for not responding to recent emails, messages and texts. I receive several inquiries weekly about RBC so I wanted to just give info here to explain my future absence. As some know I was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time in December,2023. I was taking different treatments to keep it under control but early last month a new large tumor popped up in a different spot. Our trainings haven’t been consistent recently due to several surgeries and other procedures I started. I have a long road in front of me of chemo and an extensive cell therapy treatment that won’t allow me to coach like I want. I will still be present the most I can at our team practices and games. Thankfully I have great head coaches that allow me to sit and watch. Im grateful for the health I do have and for an amazing wife who somehow has the strength to help me get through this. I only ask for prayers for my family and that I have the mental and physical strength. Cancer affects the entire family in so many ways. If you see me in a local gym I’ll take a hug too. I also love when parents send me videos or messages of their child’s success and progression in any sport or classroom. So parents, while im taking a break send me updates and brag about your kid. I love it and it will honestly make my day. Cancer sucks but I’m extremely stubborn, the most positive person you know and a dog when my back is against a wall. I know God doesn’t give you nothing you can’t handle so I’m confident I’ll be back soon. I’m blessed and grateful beyond belief. Find gratitude in the face of adversity. 💚

Blessings by Brooke posted her amazing blessing to the Hope Center! Thank you, Brooke Bretzinger! 🩷

This past month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, I had the privilege of delivering over 50 inspirational cards to the Hope Center in Lowell. These cards included butterfly stickers in honor of Kerri Midkiff, inspirational messages, Bible verses, and drawings to provide hope for cancer patients. Im so happy for this opportunity, and hope that these cards can be a blessing in these people's lives. 💕🎀
