Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a conservative Lutheran church that combines traditional Lutheran worship with serious Bible-based teaching in a friendly atmosphere. It's been a wet spring. Water levels along the river are rising and the city of Lowell is anticipating sections of south Jackson Street will be impassable by Saturday the 18th. Please be aware and on the lookout for flooding and prepare extra time for alternative routes if your drive to Good Shepherd on Sunday brings you through downtown Lowell.

Join us for Holy Week services. We will be having Maundy Thursday service on April 2nd and Good Friday service on April 3rd, both services at 5PM.

We will celebrate Easter on Sunday the 4th at our usual time at 10:30 AM.

Announcement: It's that time of the year again to be on the lookout for Michigan Winter weather. We will try to make sure any service cancelations due to inclimate weather will be posted on this page in advance of the scheduled service time (10:30 AM Sunday morning). The goal will be to post notifications at least an hour in advance, so please check this page prior to departing.

This was announced to the congregation back in August, but we wanted to make sure it was publicly mentioned on our page.

We thank Pastor Richard Boshoven for his past 3 years of service as our intentional interim pastor. With the term of his interim ministry up, he moves on to a new call at a new congregation that will benefit from his service and ministry as Good Shepherd has. Going forward, Good Shepherd plans to continue with the work set into motion by Pastor Boshoven to establish a Hub and Spoke Ministry where we plan to partner with a local congregation in the area to share resources and enhance outreach of all churches involved. More details to come on this after this holiday season in the coming new year.

In the mean time, we are being graciously served by Pastor Timothy Verity on Sundays who will help us sustain our Word and Sacrament Ministry for our Divine Services on Sundays in the coming months as we work to find a more permanent solution with a called pastor as part of a Hub and Spoke Ministry to serve our congregation and our sister congregation St. John in Ionia.

Thank you everyone who came out and participated in the second sale back in October. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church used the money raised to purchase a sorely needed new computer for the church office that is Windows 11 compatible and can continue to service the congregations needs for years to come.
