This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the blessings we often take for granted.

As we gather with family and friends today, may we take time to reflect with gratitude, pray for the families of the fallen, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for others.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13 🇺🇸

From all of us at Evergreen Missionary Church, we remember and give thanks.

There is something deeply comforting about knowing that God does not just love us, He delights in us.

“The Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)

No matter what kind of week you have had, never forget that you are not invisible to God. He sees you, walks with you, and takes great joy in you. His love is not distant or conditional. It is personal, constant, and full of grace.

Today, rest in the truth that the Creator of the universe rejoices over you with joy.

Thank you to all you do (seen and unseen)

In the Bible, tucked quietly into the background of Timothy’s story, we meet a woman named Eunice.

She never preached a sermon.
She never led a movement.
She never wrote a book of Scripture.

Yet her influence echoed through the early church.

In 2 Timothy 1:5, Paul writes:
“I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice…”

Eunice reminds us that a mother’s greatest legacy is not visibility, it is faithfulness.

The prayers whispered at bedtime, the steady example of grace, the quiet persistence in pointing children toward Christ, these moments shape generations more than we may ever realize.

Never underestimate the power of a faithful mother.

Join us this Sunday at Evergreen Church in Lowell as we dive deeper into this powerful reminder of faith and legacy.

Service begins at 9:30am. We would love to worship with you!

“Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,” says the LORD. Isaiah 54:1. Happy Mother's Day Week

What is God calling you to do?

Jesus reminds us that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. There are people all around us who are ready to hear and receive the Good News of God’s love. The question is not whether there is work to be done, but whether we are willing to step into it.

“The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, ask him to send more workers into his fields.” (Matthew 9:37–38)

The good news is this, God does not call us and then leave us on our own. He equips us. Through the Holy Spirit, each believer is given gifts and a purpose.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

“A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.” (1 Corinthians 12:7)

Every role matters. Every act of service counts. Together, we are the body of Christ, called to build up the Church and reach the world.

Jesus has all authority, and He promises to be with us always. That means we can move forward with confidence, not fear.

“I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth… And be sure of this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

We are called to let our light shine, to serve others, and to share His love, even when it feels uncomfortable or challenging.

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16)

Some are called to lead, teach, and shepherd. Others are called to serve, encourage, and reach people in everyday moments. Both matter deeply.

“So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock.” (Acts 20:28)

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved… How can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” (Romans 10:13–14)

So take a moment to reflect:
Where is God leading you to serve?
How can you use the gifts He has given you to impact others?

Step forward in faith. The harvest is ready.
