The Congregation of Saint Athanasius Our weekly Sunday Mass in the Ordinariate Form is at 10:30 AM (10:45 during Lent) in the Holy Trinity Parish Church at 340 High Street in Lowell, Mass.

Coffee hour with fellowship follows Mass. We hope you will join us. Saint Gregory the Great Church, a community of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter, joins together with the Congregation of St Athanasius at St Lawrence Church in Chestnut Hill to offer a weekly Mass in the Divine Worship Form of the Roman Rite. This liturgy unites the full Gregorian Canon of the Catholic Mass and so

me of the most beloved prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, all in reverent and beautiful Elizabethan English. Much of the Mass is sung, including traditional hymns with organ and Gregorian and Anglican chant; the mass lasts about an hour and a quarter; and is celebrated with Priest and People facing East. Incense is used on a regular basis. Coffee and light refreshments follow. The Ordinariate was set up by Pope Benedict in 2009 to allow Anglicans and Episcopalians around the world to undo Henry VIII’s break with Rome while retaining elements of their tradition which he urged us to treasure and share with the Church.

As of Sunday, July 13th, our Mass in the Ordinariate Form will be held on Sundays at 10:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church Parish with coffee hour and fellowship after Mass. Due to snow removal issues, our Mass on Sunday, February 9th will not be held in the St. Augustine Chapel at Austin Prep. The Facilities Department asked that we cancel the Mass because they cannot ensure that snow will be removed and we will have safe access to the building. Instead, Fr Armano will offer our Sunday Mass (in the Ordinariate Form) at 10:30 AM in the side chapel at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844. Those who can safely do so are most welcome to attend.
