One of the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic faith is that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

If we truly believe this, shouldn’t we desire to spend as much time as possible in His holy presence? Shouldn’t we long to adore Him, worship Him, and thank Him for the countless graces and blessings He pours into our lives each day?

In Eucharistic Adoration, we encounter not a symbol, but Jesus Himself—waiting for us, loving us, and inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him.

“Could you not watch one hour with Me?” (Matthew 26:40)

I went to Adoration last night from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., and as usual, I had one of the most profound spiritual experiences. I prayed for my priests, for my family, for peace in the world, for conversion or sinners and for so much more….

Why come to Adoration at night?
Because of the silence and quiet that can be found there.

Do you ever ask yourself, “How can people want to get up at 1:30 in the morning to go to Adoration? What do they experience that I don’t know? What drives them?”

For me, it is the depth of intimacy I find with Jesus during those quiet hours. The whole journey—from confession, to pouring out my heart, to receiving consolation and healing; from bringing my questions to Jesus, to receiving answers deep within my heart; from carrying burdens, to experiencing a profound peace that the world cannot give.

That is just one reason why I love going to Adoration at night.
