Tonight was a powerful evening at the Lowell High School Baccalaureate Service.
From worship to heartfelt testimonies, from the message to the final songs of praise, God moved in a special way. His presence was felt, His name was lifted high, and our graduates, families, teachers, and community were encouraged as we gathered together to look upward before moving forward.
Our theme for the evening was "Rooted for What's Next."
We reflected on Jeremiah 29:11:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to give you hope and a future."
And John 14:27:
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you... Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
The message centered around two simple truths:
• God's plan is greater than your pressure to have it all figured out.
• Peace doesn't come from having all the answers—it comes from walking with Jesus.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was hearing alumni share their stories. Their testimonies reminded us that life doesn't always go according to our plans, but God remains faithful through every season.
What made tonight even more special was the unity on display. Local churches came together, pastors stood together, worship leaders served together, students shared their stories, and our community gathered around one purpose—to point people to Jesus.
As we closed in worship, singing about God's goodness and responding with gratitude, I was reminded that the greatest thing we can give our graduates is not a perfect roadmap for the future, but a reminder to stay rooted in Christ.
Thank you to everyone who helped make tonight possible.
Congratulations, Class of 2026.
Be bold.
Stay rooted.
Trust God with what's next.
