The world gives us plenty of bad news. What does it look like for the church to be good news?

This Sunday, we’ll explore Acts 2:42–47 and discover how the early church became a living expression of God’s love, grace, generosity, and hope.

As part of our Unfinished series, we’ll consider what it means for us to embody good news in a world that desperately needs it—and why our purpose is far from finished. Come receive some good news—and discover how you can become good news for someone else.

We will be blessed by the musical talents of Cindy Utley, Neal Anderson, and Dave Mills, while also being reminded of God’s grace through the sharing of Communion with one another. Join us for worship!

CIRCLE TALK BY ASPEN CLUB & UCHEALTH

Circle Talk is a structured conversation program that uses a fun, unique and non-repeating curriculum to support new meaningful connections and inspire sharing.

A commitment to the full eight-week program is requested. Tuesdays, August 25 – October 13 at 1:30 – 2:30 in FUMC Heart Hub.

If you weren’t able to make last week’s class, there are still a few spots available for late registration. Registration is required by calling Aspen Club at 970-495-8565.

This group meets even after their UCHealth program ended, using what they learned at CircleTalk to deepen connections and support healthy aging.

On Sunday, August 30, we’ll have a special Blessing of the Backpacks during our Children’s Message.

We invite all of our elementary school friends to bring your backpack to worship and bring it forward for a special blessing. We’ll pray for you, your teachers, your friends, and all the adventures waiting for you this new school year.

What if abundance isn’t about having more, but about seeing differently? Join us for worship this Sunday as we explore the story of Jesus feeding the multitude and discover what happens when we stop focusing on what we lack and begin noticing what we already have.

Come discover how God can use our gifts, resources, and ordinary offerings in extraordinary ways—and why our story, like the story of the loaves and fish, is still unfinished.

We will be blessed by the music of our Chancel Choir and have the opportunity to bless the backpacks of all of our students going back to school!
