What happens when a community comes together with one purpose, one heart, and one voice? God moves. 🙏🏽

We are still reflecting on the powerful presence felt during our Community Prayer gathering, in conjunction with Prayer Changes Things and Shop Talk.

Throughout the room, there were testimonies of healing, restoration, breakthrough, and the freedom to pray again. Some described the experience as unlike anything they had witnessed in our church or across our city. Others spoke of a tangible move of God at the altar and the immediate fruit that followed.

We are especially grateful for the visionary leaders whose obedience and willingness to say yes created space for our community to encounter God together.

Thank you to every person who prayed, served, attended, covered someone else, and simply showed up expecting God to move.

The presence was beautiful. The prayers were powerful. The impact will continue.

Because when we pray together, things change. 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Sunday, our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. F. Bruce Williams, surrounded by men of faith, paused to pray over a husband whose wife has been taken into custody by ICE.

Behind every headline, every policy, and every statistic is a real person, a real marriage, a real family, and a real community carrying the weight of what has happened.

In moments of uncertainty, fear, and separation, the Church must be more than a place where we gather. We are called to be present. We are called to pray. We are called to love. We are called to stand with those who are hurting.

Dr. Charles Goodman brought the word for Men’s Weekend: landing on a different shore doesn’t mean God can’t get glory out of your life. Same God who was with you on the old job, in the old city, in the old season… is still with you here. Before you get mad and toss the sails, ask Him what He’s trying to teach you.

God doesn’t make mistakes. Even when the shore looks different than you imagined.
