Youth who are high school age and younger are invited to submit original visual art, such as a drawing or painting, to be featured in the “Saints for Kids” section of Youth Focus.

For the next Saints for Kids, the subject of the artwork is St. Martin of Tours. The deadline to submit is Oct. 29.

The Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Women’s Conference will be held Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church.

The theme of the conference is “Wonderfully Made,” based on Psalm 139. Lisa Cotter, a Catholic speaker and author, will be the keynote speaker. The deadline to register is Oct. 1.

After a seven-year hiatus, the Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Women’s Conference is set to return.

A committee of 10 women from 10 parishes in the archdiocese is making it happen.

The conference, open to women age 16 and older, is meant for women from all states in life — high-schoolers to grandparents and everyone in between, said Tasha Villalobos Gordon, chair of the conference’s committee.

The Archdiocese of Louisville will hold a special Mass of Thanksgiving for the Life of Pope Francis on Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville located at 433 S. Fifth Street. Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will serve as the principal celebrant and homilist for the Mass.

All are invited to attend this special Mass as we pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis.
