Several folks are blessed by their involvement in the Bread of Life (BOL)Ministry. Is the Lord calling you to serve with this team?

You can assist with food prep during the weekdays or devote just just 2-3 hours one Thursday night every other month to package or load food or register visitors. Contact Barbara Glasscock or anyone in the pics below for more info.

1) Meeting and getting to know fellow church members and pastors

3) Satisfaction in knowing you helped to feed families in need

Good morning OHBC ladies and friends! Just wanted to shared some pics from events over the past couple years. Please share so we can increase our following and use this site to advertise upcoming events, news and prayer requests. Anyone can view our site, so please keep that in mind.

These pics are from our last Ladies CrafTea. Special thanks to Debbi Jenkins for finding and demonstrating this special project for us. Each one turned out beautifully! Just like the branches of these trees, we are all very different with our own unique gifts and we’re called to use our gifts to share the Gospel. If we use them to produce the fruit of the Spirit, God will bless us so we can do more! If we don’t use our gifts to produce good fruit, God will take them away. We must abide in Christ and allow Him to abide in us in order to bear good fruit. (John 15:1-17)

Good morning to my sweet OHBC ladies this is Lisa Stargle (I think I still post as Ormsby Heights Women's Ministry...). I am posting this morning an urgent prayer request. I am not posting to my FB because my Daddy is so private and I just don't think I should right now. But, those of you in this group that know me, know my relationship with my Daddy and how close we are. You may remember me posting 6 months ago when we thought we were losing him then...well, a lot has happened in these 6 months. He has been back in the hospital several times and is back in again as of Sunday after a day of confusion. His CO2 levels are up and after 2 1/2 days on a C-Pap machine, his levels are not going down. His lungs have atrophied and his heart is weak and according to his lung doctor, this is not a good prognosis. They will be testing his CO2 levels again this morning and once we have the results, we will make a decision on what to do next. If we get to the point that there isn't anything that can be done, we will bring him home. Covid is keeping those that love him away, so home is where he needs to be. Please pray that we know clearly what to do next. That should the Lord decide to take him home, that our hearts are ready and that the Lord will allow us one more day...to tell him just how amazing and how loved he is. Thank you for lifting us all up in this time. Love and miss you all and I am so thankful that I can still turn to my sisters in the family that will always be so near and dear to my heart.

Is God calling you to serve on our Women’s Ministry Team? If so, please contact Becky Williamson.

What do we do? We strive to support the women and families within our church family as well as others in our community by sponsoring study groups, worship and ministry/missions events and projects/programs as well as fellowship opportunities. We really need someone just to focus on managing publicity, including our FB page.

Please let me know if God is leading you in this direction and may God bless you for it!!

Hey ladies...only 10 days left to take advantage of the $20 discount on the Flourish conference in Owensboro. With your $25 deposit by 9/22 cost will be $85 for a room with four and $120 for a room with two. Cost covers your room and ticket to the conference. After 9/22 total cost will be $105 and $140. Please use the Women's Ministry envelopes and drop your deposit in the offering plate or mailbox by office (noting what type room). Hey ladies, you won’t want to miss our next women’s bible study: STRONGER, by Angela Thomas Pharr starting 2/21, Thursday nights @6:30pm. Through this study, you’ll be assured that, as a follower of Christ, you do not need to live in weakness because God is stronger than ANY struggle you may face.

Hey OHBC ladies! We’re postponing our prayer breakfast to a later date TBD but PRAY anyway!!!

Gather with some friends this week to pray for our church family, our Pastor and his family, our other ministers and families, and even your own families. Just pray! Pray for our community, our country and our leaders. Pray for the lost and those in need. Pray for those who are sick and hurting. Just pray!
