The Gift of Offering

I do not vanish when I give,
I bloom.
Like a candle lighting others,
my flame grows warmer,
my shadows gentler.
I offer not to be emptied,
but to be filled
with the quiet joy of connection,
a hand held,
a heart heard,
a soul seen.
Each kindness is a ripple
