Trees have this excellent mechanism called transpiration. Water is absorbed by the roots from the soil and travels through the xylem (the water-conducting tissue) to the leaves, where it evaporates into the atmosphere. This creates a negative pressure that pulls more water up through the tree, like a straw effect. It’s nature’s way of defying gravity without lifting a finger. Cool, huh?
