Hey YFC family! Over the course of the next several weeks we're going to highlight members of our organization as they tell a little about their stories. Our first spotlight is our executive director!
Hi! My name is John Griffin. I’m the executive director at Greater Louisville Youth For Christ. I joined YFC a little over a year ago and am excited to be a part of such a great organization. When looking back at my life, it isn’t a surprise that I ended up here. My entire life has been shaped by interacting with youth. My parents kept foster children for over 20 years, I worked at a group home, I’ve taught percussion for over 20 years at this point and I’ve been in youth ministry a long time now. For the past several years I’ve done a mix of corporate work and held a few ministry roles. I’m extremely excited about this season at Greater Louisville YFC. I believe we’re at a tipping point with Generations Z and Alpha. The need for the Gospel message we share with students we encounter is needed so badly in the spaces our young people inhabit. I love how YFC reaches young people by meeting them where they are and giving them space to vocalize what’s actually happening in their lives. I believe Generations Z and Alpha can be world changers. I’m grateful to be part of the work to channel them to change the world for Christ.
I would love to meet you! Please reach out if you want to grab a lunch or coffee sometime!
