Livestreaming Directions
Christ Church of Louisville
We are ready to begin livestreaming!
Hello Congregation! We are excited to announce that Christ Church of Louisville’s Streaming Broadcast is now live! The broadcast of the traditional service will be live-streamed online in real time to everyone who is unable to attend church in person!
There are three main ways you can connect to the church’s livestream:
1) The quickest and most secure way is through the “Universal Church Directories” mobile app that Cheri created and developed for the congregation a few months ago. Launch the app on your smartphone, and tap “Visit Church Website” at the bottom left of the screen. Once you do, you will be redirected to the Christ Church homepage, where you can scroll down a little bit to view the livestream (hosted by streamingchurch.tv) directly on your smartphone with an internet connection. You will see a screen where you can enter a nickname to let other live streamers know that you are watching. A nickname isn’t required (you can close the nickname screen if you wish), but it can be a fun way to interact with other live streamers. If you wish, go ahead and enter a nickname (no other personal information is required), and then click the “Enter Live Service” button in white at the bottom. If you don’t see any live streaming once you do all of this, don’t panic! You might just be a bit early, and nothing is going on quite yet; though if you’re certain that is not the case, just refresh the webpage (which is the arrow in the shape of a circle at the bottom of your device). Entering a nickname also gives you access to other streamingchurch.tv resources, one of which I will mention momentarily.
2) If you don’t have a smartphone, you can access the service on any device with a web browser and an internet connection. Navigate to our website, louisvillechrist.org, scroll down to view the livestream on your device. As I mentioned in the previous step, go ahead and follow the instructions about entering a nickname.
3) Through the YouTube website or application, search for “” (include the @ sign but not the quotes – if you forget the @ sign/symbol, it is much harder to find us) and either click/tap “subscribe” or “view channel” to connect to us. This option is the best option for those who would like to view the service on a smart TV, which can be people at home, or it can also be those who are within the church, as Sunday School rooms equipped with the TCL smart TV already have the YouTube app installed and the church’s YouTube account () added to the channel. If you are using a smart TV at home, you may need to create a YouTube account, so be advised of that. Once you access ’s profile on the YouTube app of your smart TV, you should see the livestream, or you may need to click the “Your channel” option on the left (every TV is a little bit different).
It appears that YouTube hosts past recordings of the services on the church’s YouTube account, but it is unclear how long those will remain available. To view past services, it’s best to use the church’s website. If you wish to view past services, you will need to access our church’s “Media Vault” at streamingchurch.tv. This is much easier than it looks, and the process is somewhat similar to what you have done thus far. As you have done, you will need to be on the church’s website to do this. Scroll down to the livestream portion of the home page, put in a nickname (if you wish), and then on the right side, you will see a blue column with various options. Click on the option that is second from the bottom, which looks like an old camera film icon, which will bring up the word “Media” behind it. Click the word “Media” to access past services, and you should see them there.
Also, please know that we will be making adjustments to the livestream based on suggestions and improvements. We are also still determining how the Chapel, Fellowship Hall, and the TV near the door 1 entrance will work in the coming months, so there may be changes in those locations. We understand that this will be a bit of a learning curve, so please reach out to Anthony Bianchi if you have any questions. Anthony’s email is [email protected]
