Matthew 28:1-10

The Resurrection

[1] Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. [2] And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. [3] His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. [4] And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. [5] But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. [6] He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. [7] Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” [8] So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. [9] And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. [10] Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

A reminder that tonight the schedule is changing for the spring/summer/fall.

Bible study is at 6pm
Go and grow teams are 7pm

This is our first night for go night this year. We will not go out tonight. We will be getting organized and ready for going out next week.

We are planning on having our regular weekly schedule of activities today. Sunday school at 9:45am, morning service at 11am. Youth and children activities and evening service at 6pm.

The church parking lot and entrances are cleared.

The parking lot and the church entrances were cleared today, and so I will be at the church tonight for Wednesday night prayer and Bible study at 7pm if you are able to come.

I apologize for the late announcement if you have already made plans, but we were not sure whether or not the parking lot would be cleared in time.

Hello Hillcrest Baptist Church,

All Sunday services and activities are cancelled due to the winter weather.

The National Weather Service says this is going to be a major storm and for people to try to stay in and not travel if possible. Please be safe and stay warm. I am praying for you.

We are still having our Sunday evening service at 6pm. Philip will lead music tonight as well.

Tonight’s message:
Exodus 11 - An Interlude: The LORD Makes a Distinction

No youth and children activities and no skit practice tonight. Just the evening worship service.

The main roads are fine. The entrances and sidewalks at the church are still cleared. The church parking lot is still full of snow.

We trust that you will make the best decision for you and your family and we understand whatever decision you make.
