“We who have experienced new birth must lay aside falsehood and speak the truth because we’re are members of one another.” -John 17:17

God’s word is truth and to abide by him and be Christ like is to be truthful ourselves. Even when the outside we present is much more pleasant Thea the gooey gross mess hiding inside.
But Christ can take everything going on inside, and create something new in us, a brighter version of ourselves.

The Youth Convention Deadline is this Sunday, I need to solidify a list of kids who would like to go. It is an overnight trip the 19-20 of November. If you have any questions please let me know.

S***m was being destroyed in a blaze, Lot’s wife “looked back, and she became a pillar of salt” Genesis 19:26

Lot and his family had a homestead and were raising two daughters in S***m. Despite being surrounded by wickedness and sin, it was what they knew as home.
Despite knowing that looking back on sin would be disobedient and lead to destruction, Lot’s wife looked back.

We too have created comfort in our old ways, out of temptation from others, convenience, or just enjoyment for what we know is wrong.

But if you create a home on a rotted foundation it will crumble. Staying among the wicked promotes said behavior that will lead to destruction.
Flee from sin, look forward to the good that has been promised, and surround yourself with those helping you away from destruction.

Look forward and find a new home.
