Today's doctor appointment went better than anyone could expect. My levels are holding. And they think we have time to get approved for a heart transplant instead of the LVAD. No hospice or surgery at this time. Except for a pacemaker ASAP. I have a lot of work to do and it's not gonna be easy. I could definitely use a treadmill.

I am asking for prayers or good vibes for myself. I have a Heart failure DR appt tomorrow to go over all the testing they ran during my stay at Jewish last week. Please say a prayer for the wife as well she is being a rock holding me up.

had an appointment with my heart doctor today. I am in advanced heart failure and my heart will not heal. I will need to stay about a week in Jewish for a round of extensive testing to see if I qualify for surgical intervention.

I have already been told that I don't qualify at this time for a transplant but may in the future. The option they are looking at is an LVAD. which is a pump that will be attached to my heart and assist with pumping the oxygenated blood out of my heart.

No way to sugarcoat it. I do not want to be on a machine if I have no hope of recovery if something was to happen. Marlina gets to make that call but I wanted everyone to know my wishes.
