Reading the word this morning my spirit was grieved. Jeremiah 1:9-10 says..."I have now filled your mouth with MY words; ...to uproot and tear down, to destroy and demolish, to build and plant."
That's a pattern! But how often do we use OUR words and uproot, tear down DESTROY and demolish in the name of the Lord. Then walk away saying we did the work of the Lord. How often do we "release a word in the name of Jesus" knowing good and darn well that the words you released are from the issues of your soul and not from the heart of the Lord. Your soul,you know, the place that the enemy dwells in you. Or the word you release is not from the Lord, but from the conversation you had about that person a couple days ago.
The Bible says, that life and death is in the power of the tongue. Our words can literally destroy a person. But according to Jeremiah, after you uproot and tear down. After you destroy and demolish, you need to build and plant. After the correction, there should be a building up again. And if you don't have the words to rebuild, perhaps God didn't give you the words to tear down. Think about it! Because oftentimes PRIDE speaks louder than the Lord. And though they may not know the difference, GOD does and He will hold accountable for the words you release!

JOHN 15:1...I am the TRUE VINE... God didn't say, I am the vine; He said I am the TRUE VINE. True gives the indication that there is also a false. A counterfeit. Early this morning working in my yard, I decided to cut back what appeared to be an overgrown bush. It was nice and full and green. It even shaded a portion of my porch. After I began cutting I noticed what I thought was a bush, wasn't. It was a vine. And the more I cut the more I saw the destruction it had caused. Underneath its bright green folage was an ugly vine that had twisted itself, not only through my fence, but also into the siding on my house. Its caused some of the siding to pull away as well as twisting my fence to accommodate its destructive growth pattern. At one point, it was a hidden refuge for a snake that had shed its skin. 😳 Standing back in amazement, looking at all of the destruction this vine caused, Holy Spirit said, "I am the TRUE VINE". He said "Sharon, many are deceived by what they see on the outside". He said, "people pick a church, pastor, or even a social media celebrity because they LOOK like what they think is me". We hang onto words that appeal to our ears or looks that appeals to our eyes instead of searching out the intent of a matter. Does what we're attracted to line up with what's written in His book. All the while, allowing the vine, to silently creep in and reek havoc in our lives. And before you know it, you're falling apart and you don't know why. Nothing seems to be working out. If this is you, perhaps you've fallen victim to the vine and not the TRUE VINE. God says, its time to do the work. Allow Holy Spirit to prune you. Cut back those things that are not of Him. Its not to late to begin again. The TRUE VINE brings LIFE, while the vine brings destruction. Which do you want? 🤷🏽‍♀️
