This is a day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it! Every day is a gift from God to be lived for His glory. Gathering together as a church family to worship Him is one of our greatest joys. This is why we are always reluctant to cancel our Sunday worship gathering. The extreme temperatures and snow projected for tomorrow, however, will make travel to the church unsafe for many. So instead of gathering together, spend time in God's Word and prayer with your family. Joe Fenton, Marlene's son, died this past Sunday, June 29th. Pray for Marlene and all the family. Pray especially for his son Lee and daughter Jennifer, that God will draw the to Himself in their time of grief. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Evergreen Funeral Home on Preston Highway. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Celebration of Life service for Izzy Verbaere will be Saturday, March 15th, at Shawnee Baptist Church, 2214 Bank Street. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m. Continue to pray for all of the family and those heartbroken by Izzy's tragic death. Pray especially for her parents, Kim and Matt, and her siblings, Jacob and Felicity.
