Rev. Caesar Arthur Walter Clark (1914–2008). Revered pastor of the historic Good Street Baptist Church, Dallas, TX, was born on December 13, 1914, in Shreveport, Louisiana. His parents were farmers, and Clark was an only child. Soon after his birth, his family moved to East Point, Louisiana. Clark had to drop out of school after the seventh grade to help his parents on the farm. Thereafter he was self-educated until he received a bachelor of arts from Bishop College when he was thirty-two years old. He later received an honorary doctorate of divinity from Bishop.
