Firefighters For Christ- Kentucky Chapter “ENCOURAGING FIREFIGHTERS TO LIVE THEIR LIVES FOR JESUS CHRIST” Welcome to the Firefighters For Christ- Kentucky Chapter page! Hebrews 10:24-25

In 2020, we saw a great need for a ministry like Firefighters For Christ in the region. After much prayer we decided to start a local chapter and our first meeting was held in the city of Louisville on May 25th, 2021. We decided on the name “Kentucky Chapter” because we don’t want ourselves to be limited to just Louisville area firefighters. According to the National Fire Department Registry there

are approximately 687 Fire Departments in the state of Kentucky. We are open to all active career, volunteer, and retired firefighters in the area, if you're willing to make the drive we would love to have you join us! Our Goal: To encourage firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ! "And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching".

Back in January of 2022 we were blessed to have 3 Canadians (Russ, Sam, & Walter) drive all the way down to Kentucky to spend time with us and encourage us. So when we found out the World Police & Fire Games were going to be held in Winnipeg, Canada this year, we knew we had to take a road trip up North!

This week we drove a total of 2,677 miles and spent 43+ hours in the car. It was a busy week but it was WORTH IT!

We were able to watch Russ Reimer and his team of Canadian firefighters (Winnipeg Polar Blaze) play the Australians (Aussie Heat) in Ice Hockey. Kaleb competed in Cross Country by running the 5k. He finished 16th overall and 1st in his division. We had fun at the FFC Manitoba Chapter BBQ as well.

We were shown so much hospitality by everyone, and we definitely want to give a huge shout out to our hosts, Sam and Niki!!

We are so thankful for our FFC family!

We ask that you join us in prayer for Officer Nickolas Wilt, who was shot while responding to an active shooter incident here in our home state of Kentucky yesterday. Officer Wilt was a rookie officer who just graduated from the police academy, less than 2 weeks ago. He also worked for LaGrange Fire Department (Kentucky) and is still serving as a Volunteer FF/EMT.

We pray for those who were killed, injured, and everyone affected by what took place.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” -Revelation 21:4

Nickolas Wilt, 26, who graduated from the police academy on March 31, is in critical condition.
