The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce is providing income-eligible senior citizens access to healthier foods through the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

The SFMNP provides benefits in the form of a benefit card valued at $40 that can be used at authorized farmers markets in 28 counties across Mississippi for the purchase of locally grown fruits, vegetables and honey. Program information including program criteria and how to apply for and redeem the benefit card can be found on the Farmers Market Nutrition Program webpage at www.mdac.ms.gov/programs/farmers-market-nutrition-program. Senior citizens that applied online and received benefits previously must reapply online in order to receive benefits in 2026.

Please see the following information about our Full Circle Speaker coming to Blythe Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, June 13th @ 5:30pm. We would love for you to bring your church with you. Anyone who packs a shoebox, your youth, and/or your children's groups. Bring friends, family or anyone who needs to hear the power of the gospel. We are excited and can't wait to see you there. Here is a small snippet of Alex’s amazing story:
Growing up in the midst of an unstable Rwandan government, Alex experienced firsthand the travesties of his nation’s genocide. At the height of tribal unrest, the genocide claimed the lives of his caregivers. Fleeing for his life, Alex escaped gunmen and eventually ended up in an orphanage that was his home for the next several years.

He received a shoebox from Operation Christmas Child one year after arriving at the orphanage and remembers being so excited to have a gift to call his own. The shoebox gift sowed seeds of hope and love that he desperately needed. He realized that God had a specific plan for his life. Alex now serves with Operation Christmas Child, paying forward the hope and love he received through a shoebox gift.
