Part of our service included a blessing for students that started back to school and also honored all our teachers. Our prayers are for a successful year for students and teachers alike. Thank you to Vicky Keely who had bags of popcorn with a note that said, “Just POPPIN’ in to tell you Jesus Loves You so much & has a WONDERFUL plan for your life”. She also had cute bags for each student stuffed with some goodies. Teachers received gift cards which were very much appreciated! After the Worship Service, there was a 5th Week Fellowship and Clarksville UMC and Centenary UMC shared a great variety of delicious food together. We cherish this special time!

What direction is your power pointing? 🤔 Pharaoh used his power out of fear, but the women of Exodus and Jesus showed us a better way. They used what they had to protect life, serve others, and love. What power has God placed in YOUR hands? How will you use it?

Pain has a way of making us ask hard questions. Did God plan this? Did He cause this? The truth is, God's plan isn't about orchestrating our suffering — it's about where He leads us no matter what we face. And when we start to sink, He reaches out His hand. 🌊✋

Honoring Wanda Tyrrel~We remembered Wanda today during our Worship Service. There are so many lovely memories of her. She was an amazing baker, and shared her wonderful breads during Sunday School! She loved animals, and took care of many during her lifetime. We learned today that she was also an artist, and loved to paint. Wanda will always be remembered. It was great that her daughter, Jackie, and son-in law, David, were able to be with us! There was also a Fellowship Meal for family and friends after the service. We will miss Wanda’s sweet smile and there will always be a place in our hearts just for her…

We are so grateful for God’s goodness! Our celebration on July 5th was a very special one. During the Worship Service, a stole was presented to Pastor Hong by the two churches to signify his Ordination during the Methodist Annual Conference in June. He also used the same suit and tie worn on his first Sunday with us five (5) years ago, and we printed the bulletins to copy what was used that same day. Pastor Hong’s family then served Korean food after the Joint Worship Service in honor of the two congregations, Clarksville UMC and Centenary UMC. We are so blest and humbled that God has given us answers to our fervent prayers, and this family is allowed to continue their calling by God that began five years ago!
