Although we dearly miss everyone, we desire everyone to be safe. Please stay home tomorrow and join us right here in the morning for an opportunity to worship online. On this cold evening, let us join our voices in prayer:

Almighty God, what a wonder it is to behold your majesty and glory in the works creation. Each snowflake unique from the next reminds us of your endless creativity and care. Help us now amid this cold to remember your love and to be warmed by your Spirit. Watch over those who are in need and inspire us to care for our neighbors. Protect those who are out working in these conditions and bring them home safely. In the name of Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit we offer this prayer to you, Almighty and Creating God. To you be all glory and honor, forever and ever.
Amen.

An opportunity for online worship will be available tomorrow morning. As we brace for whatever weather may come, we invite you to join us in this prayer through the storm:

Holy God, we pray for your care and protection as this storm approaches. For those who may be vulnerable to the cold and to ice, provide for them warmth and a place of refuge. Fill our hearts with love and strength to open our hearts and care for our neighbors. Bring us through this cold, that ice may melt and our hearts be warmed by your eternal Light. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Here's a little piece of history on Rev. Green Hill. Our church is named in recognition of him and another prominent Methodist, Rev. John King.

GREEN HILL of Louisburg listed in the Revolutionary War Soldiers at Rest in Brentwood Tennessee. After the war, Hill took on a leadership role in the Methodist Episcopal Church. The First
Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in America was held at Green Hill's home in Louisburg on April 20, 1785. https://www.brentwoodtn.gov/Your-Government/Volunteer-Boards-Commissions/Historic-Commission/Revolutionary-War-Soldiers-at-Rest-in-Brentwood
