Our VBS is taking up an offering daily to send to a missionary we support in the Philippines!
Brother Jonas Salec sent me some information to share about his work there:
Our church name is Shiloh Independent Baptist Church of Bauang. (SIBCB)
- Pastored by me (Bro. Jonas C. Salac together with my wife Charlene and baby boy Zachary)
We are located in the northern part province of the Philippines known as "La Union" it has 20 municipalities
Bauang is one of them. Each municipalities has different numbers of villages, each village has a 1,000 to 5,000+ populations each.
Bauang has 39 villages and 78,000 populations.
Our mission work here is our 2nd mission work that we Started since I came back home from the US in 2016.
Our mission here is 140km away from the 1st one.
We just started here in Feb.2023.
Which this mission work is currently 3yrs. Old
- this mission started supporting 2 local pastors since December 2024.
- acquired a house and lot property with the size of 355sqm last june 2025 and it is payable for 3 yrs time, Currently have $43,000 more or less debt, believing by faith to be paid before June 2028.
- currently have more or less 30 attendance and 11 new attendees
- Cottage prayer meeting every Friday
- 3 groups of bible study
- Soul winning and visitations every Saturday morning and afternoon
- Children's Church called JAMM (Jesus and Me Ministry)
- Our ministry is more focused on soul winning, Bible studies, and training nationals.
