Join the Peace and Justice Commission for the Pilgrimage of Hope for Climate Justice on Monday, March 23 for students and young people to walk from St. Mary's Church in downtown Albany to the New York State Capitol to deliver copies of the encyclical Laudato Si to New York State legislators.

This event marks the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si and the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of St. Francis of Assisi. Siena University Center for Integral Ecology will be coordinating this event with assistance from the New York State Catholic Conference and the Catholic Schools office in the Albany Diocese.

Adults, parents, teachers and parishioners interested in joining the event are urged to attend.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Steve '73 and Janeece Brophy, Siena University has installed a state-of-the-art Allen Organ in the Chapel, replacing the original 1960s instrument that had faithfully served the community for decades.

This remarkable gift ensures that Siena’s liturgical and spiritual life will continue to be enriched for generations to come. The new organ will support weekly Masses, weddings, funerals, Alumni Masses, Feast of St. Francis celebrations, community Christmas Masses, and beloved traditions like the Festival of Lessons and Carols. The organ will be dedicated today, February 8, at Siena's Sunday Mass.

We are deeply grateful to the Brophys for their leadership and for helping strengthen the heart of Siena’s worship life.
