🪻Today marks the first day of Lent. For those unfamiliar or in need of a refresher, Lent is a 40-day (excluding Sundays) Christian liturgical season dedicated to fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. This period symbolizes Yeshua Christ’s time in the wilderness. Commencing on Ash Wednesday and concluding before Easter, Lent serves as a time of repentance, reflection and spiritual preparation for the Resurrection. The term itself originates from "lencten," which means springtime.
Key Aspects Of Lent
