We have some fun events coming up in September.

📅 Thursday September 10th 6-7:30 is our monthly youth group meeting. This month will have an ice cream social. Who don’t love Ice cream and Jesus?! Everyone invited!

- 📖 Lesson
- 🥪 Sandwiches
- 🍦 ICE CREAM SOCIAL

📅 Thursday September 17th 6:00PM will be our first ever Women’s Meeting. Sherry Mullins and Geraldine Mullins will start us off with worship, and Lily Barnett will bringing the message. We are planning a nice refreshment before service. Make plans now, we’d sure love to have you!

As I look back at where Pilgrim Rest was after the flood and then look at where the Lord has brought us today, I can’t help but give Him praise.

There was those who give up on this church. The church was filled with mud, debris, broken pews, and so much uncertainty. But God was faithful through every step of the journey. He provided, He made a way, He sent people to help, and He gave people the strength to keep moving forward.

Now we can look around and see a church that has been restored, people sitting in the pews again, families worshipping together, and the Word of God still being preached. People getting saved!!

The flood may have damaged a building, but it could not stop the church.

The Lord has surely brought us a long way, and I just wanted to stop by today and say, THANK YOU, LORD!

Thank You for Your faithfulness.
Thank You for Your provision.
Thank You for every person who prayed, worked, gave, and helped along the way.
And most of all, thank You for reminding us that no matter what comes our way, You are still God and You are still faithful.

We haven’t forgotten where we came from, and we will never forget Who brought us through.

Look what the Lord has done!

*Putting Others First* That was tonight’s lesson at Youth Group. We sang and danced, had our lesson then went for pizza and cupcakes. After we had a couple intense games of Bible Bingo! We sure did have a fun night in the Lord. If you couldn’t make it this time, there is always next time. Remember Sunday School is Sunday at 9AM

We know there has been a lot without power this week. But the church has power and we want to continue on with Youth Group tonight. Come out for some pizza and cupcakes. We will have a good lesson, and then we will play some games! Hope to see you there!

Remember our little buddy Lloyd when you pray. He has been in the hospital a couple of days but is feeling some better. We are praying for him to have a speedy and complete recovery. Pray for Mammaw Sue too. We sure do love them at Pilgrims Rest.

Thank you to everyone who made it out to our Back to school bash! We are so thankful for the families for bringing their little ones out. Anthony gave a good little message to the kids and then we prayed over them. They enjoyed hotdogs, chips and drinks then out to play on the slip and slide. We are also glad that the weather held off for the most part. Beautiful things are happening at Pilgrims Rest. The Lord sure is faithful.
