đź“– Matthew 16:13-16
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist but others Elijah and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

đź’ When and how did you come to realize as your Messiah?

"Freely, Freely" (no. 389 in The United Methodist Hymnal) was written by Carol Owens in 1972. Inspired by Matthew 10:8 — "Freely you have received; freely give" — this beloved hymn has become a congregational favorite for its simple, singable message about grace received and grace shared.

It reminds us that the love and forgiveness we've received from God isn't meant to be kept to ourselves — it's meant to be given away.

What does this hymn mean to you? Share your memories of singing "Freely, Freely".

Scammers are getting better at making emails look like they come from people we know and trust, including pastors, district superintendents, Conference staff, and other church leaders.

Don’t take the bait!

Before responding to an unusual request, take a moment to look closely at the sender’s actual email address and watch for requests involving money, gift cards, passwords, banking information, or other sensitive information.

If something doesn’t seem right, pause and verify the request using a phone number or email address you already know and trust, not by replying to the suspicious message or using contact information it provides.

A few extra seconds can help protect you, your congregation, and our connection.

PAUSE. VERIFY. PROTECT.

Sometimes we can’t see what God is doing.

But that doesn’t mean God isn’t working.

Trust that even in the unseen, God is moving, making a way, and bringing new things to life.

Hear this Good News: God is still working in places we cannot see!

What is something you’re trusting God with today?

Where have you seen unexpected grace?

Maybe it was a person who showed up when you needed them.

Maybe it was an answered prayer.

Maybe it was something small that reminded you God was still there.

Whatever it was, share it in the comments! Your story of grace might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

Take a moment to slow down.

In the middle of a busy week, it can be easy to forget to simply be still and spend time with God.

This Midweek Devotional offers a three step practice:
• Read the Scripture
• Be still and breathe
• Talk with God about what you are feeling

You don’t need a lot of time. Just a quiet moment and an open heart.

“Be still and know that I am God”
- Psalm 46:10

Take a minute today to connect with God!

What are you carrying today?
Maybe it’s stress. Maybe it’s worry. Maybe it’s something you’ve been holding on to for far too long.

Whatever it is, bring it to God in prayer. You don’t have to carry it alone.

“Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.”
- 1 Peter 5:7

Take a moment today in prayer with God, trusting that God is listening to you.
