Fundraising Outreach
"Nothing is permanent, except change.”
After 17 years of dedicated service to our temple, our hot water boiler has reached the end of practice at Jikoji. It is now on its way to rebirth at a local recycling center (with help from Ross Smith, Chuck Bombelyn, Ben Berman, Michael Schnee, and Gerow Reese guiding the "old guys brigade").
We humbly request your generous assistance in helping us fund urgent infrastructure upgrades needed to provide for the next 15-20 years. These funds will be used for a new boiler and the follow-on addition of a solar hot water circulation tank that will reduce Jikoji’s use of fossil fuels in the future.
Our goal is $10,000. Any donations you can afford will be completely tax deductible, and they will extend our ability to continue to offer a place of respite, teaching and introspection for many years to come.
We are coordinating with the resident artists and sanga members to make some of their wonderful artwork, including calligraphy scrolls, photography, painting, mixed-media pieces and more available to be given in gratitude for your generosity. Details are still being worked out as to specific items and pricing, which will be posted on our dedicated fundraising page as soon as possible.
