The Foursquare Church

🌍 Around the world, millions of Christians face pressure, discrimination and persecution because of their faith in Jesus. We have an opportunity to stand with them in prayer.

Sunday, Nov. 1 is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, and there's a place for everyone to take part!

🙏 Individuals + families: Set aside time to pray for courage, comfort and boldness.

⛪ Pastors + churches: Lead your congregation in a time of focused prayer, whether for a few minutes or a full service. Any Sunday in November works!

🤝 Missions + global leaders: Invite your teams and partners to join you in praying for believers serving faithfully around the world.

“I will never preach the same way again.”

Those words from a pastor in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 left a lasting impact on Pastor Troy Sonnleitner.

Last year, Pastor Troy, lead pastor of The Church on the Rock in Brockton, MA, joined a team to equip local pastors through Discipleship + Leadership Training (DLT). What he experienced changed his own perspective on missions and strengthened his commitment to serving the global church.

🌍 Last week, he returned to Zimbabwe with another team to continue investing in local leaders.

🙏 Join us in praying for the team and the pastors they’re equipping. Pray that these leaders leave encouraged, equipped and ready to share what they've learned with their churches and communities!

District Family,

Yesterday, tragedy struck the Bend community with a school shooting. Our pastors and churches in Central Oregon are grieving alongside students, families, educators, first responders, and the wider community.

I’m asking our entire district to pause and pray. Pray for those who have been directly impacted and for families walking through unimaginable grief and fear. Pray for students, teachers, administrators, counselors, and first responders. Pray for our pastors and churches in the area that they would carry the presence and compassion of Jesus into their communities in the days ahead.

In moments like this, we may not have adequate words, but we can pray. We can grieve with those who grieve. And we can ask God to bring comfort, peace, healing, and hope in the midst of profound pain.

Would you take a few moments this weekend, personally and with your church or team, to pray for Bend?

Lord Jesus, have mercy. Draw near to those who are hurting, comfort those who grieve, bring healing to those who have been wounded, and give wisdom and strength to every person serving this community. Make your Church a faithful presence of love, compassion, and hope. Amen.

Thank you for standing with our pastors, churches, and community in prayer.

Steve

Focused on mission. ✝️ Ready for the harvest. 🌾

In the slides below, we highlight President Randy Remington's most recent letter that unpacks the focus for the Foursquare One Team as we serve you, our local leaders. 🤝❤️

He also refocuses on the mission we've had since the beginning: the Four Stages. What will it look like as we together make disciples, raise up leaders, build churches and send out movements? ⛪️
